*Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
*Location: Dover, Kent
*Start Date: April 2026 (Earlier start is an option)
*Key Stage: 3 & 4
*Salary: £90.00 to £100.00 per day based on experience (Paid weekly, PAYE, Pension, CPD)

Academics, Canterbury are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic SEN school in Dover. This school offers a relaxed and inclusive atmosphere, providing exceptional support to pupils with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
Key Responsibilities:
*Support students on a 1:1 and small group basis
*Help with learning activities and maintaining a positive learning environment
*Work closely with teaching staff to implement individual learning plans
*Provide encouragement and emotional support to students
What We’re Looking For:
*Experience working with children, ideally within a SEN setting (experience with Autism is highly desirable)
*Patience, empathy and a passion for working with students with special educational needs
*Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with staff and pupils
*A willingness to learn and grow in the role
*A positive and proactive attitude
Ideally have experience of supporting pupils with:
*Profound, Severe and Complex Learning Difficulties (PSCN)
*Physical and Sensory Needs
*Communication and Interaction Needs
*Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC)
*Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH)
