About the Role
We are seeking reliable, physically capable, and safety-focused Delivery Drivers to join a growing solar installation and logistics operation. This position combines multi-drop delivery driving with on-site support, including training toward becoming a Solar Panel Installer for those interested in career development.
You will transport solar panels and associated materials—often fragile—to installation teams across London, the M25 region, and occasionally further afield. This role includes opportunities for upskilling in installation processes, renewable energy systems, and technical fieldwork.
Key Responsibilities
Delivery & Logistics
*Complete multi-drop deliveries (up to 15 per day) of solar panels, mounting hardware and tools.
*Safely handle, load, secure, and unload fragile and high-value goods.
*Carry out basic vehicle checks and maintain cleanliness of delivery vehicles.
*Plan efficient delivery routes across London and surrounding regions.
*Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with depot and installation teams.
Installation Support & Training
*Assist installation crews with staging materials, preparing sites and supporting system setup under supervision.
*Participate in hands-on training to learn solar panel installation techniques.
*Follow strict Health & Safety protocols, including rooftop and ladder safety.
General Duties
*Represent the company professionally on customer and construction sites.
*Maintain a courteous, customer-focused attitude.
*Comply with company policies and renewable-energy industry safety standards.
Required Qualifications & Skills
*Full UK driving licence (max 3 points; must be 21+ for insurance).
*Minimum 2 years’ multi-drop driving experience.
*Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs: comfortable with physical, outdoor work.
*Strong knowledge of London, M25 routes, and surrounding counties.
*Fluent in English plus one of: Spanish / Portuguese / French (multilingual skills essential for customer and team communication).
*Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
Preferred (Not Essential)
*Experience handling or delivering fragile goods.
*Experience in deliveries to construction sites
*Familiarity with power and hand tools.
Training, Compliance & Development
*Full training provided on solar product handling and installation processes.
*Mandatory Health & Safety clearance before starting.
*Brief health assessment required at the Newport depot.
*Career pathway available to progress into Solar Installer or Lead Installer roles.
Working Hours & Pay
*Monday–Friday, 09:00–18:00
*Occasional weekend/bank holiday work paid at time-and-a-half.
*£18.50 per hour, rising to £22.00 after 12 weeks upon permanent placement.
*High likelihood of permanent employment based on performance.
