Job Description:
Reed Practice are currently supporting a well-established and highly regarded independent accountancy firm based in Kidlington. With over 40 years’ experience supporting owner-managed businesses and SMEs across Oxfordshire, the firm is known for combining high-quality compliance work with a proactive, advisory-led approach. They continue to grow and are now looking to add a Senior Accountant to their team.
The Role
You will be responsible for a varied portfolio of clients, with work including:
*Preparing year-end accounts for limited companies (typically £0–4M turnover)
*Preparing corporation tax computations and returns
*Completing self-assessment tax returns for individuals, sole traders and company directors
*Providing tax support across income tax, corporation tax and VAT
*Liaising directly with clients and supporting them with day-to-day queries
This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected local practice that supports small business owners to start, develop and grow their businesses.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
*At least 3 years’ experience within an accountancy practice
*Strong experience in accounts preparation and tax compliance
*Good communication skills and confidence dealing directly with clients
*A proactive, detail-driven approach
