JOB TITLE - SEN Teaching Assistant (Primary)ABOUT THE SCHOOL
Prospero Teaching is seeking a compassionate, patient, and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive Primary School in Bristol.
The school has a strong inclusion ethos and offers a nurturing environment where staff work collaboratively to support children with a wide range of additional needs.
With excellent leadership and a focus on staff development, this is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced TA looking to make a meaningful impact in an SEN-focused role. The position is long-term, with potential to extend or become permanent for the right candidate.
CONTRACT / POSITION DETAILS *Location: Bristol
*Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
*Type: Full-Time (Monday - Friday)
*Pay Rate: £90 - £110 per day
*Hours: 8:20am - 3:30pm
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & QUALIFICATIONS To be considered for this role, candidates must have:
*Experience working in a UK school or education setting - mandatory
*Experience or strong interest in supporting pupils with SEN, including Autism, ADHD, Speech & Language Needs, and SEMH
*Ability to provide calm, patient and structured one-to-one or group SEN support
*Understanding of positive behaviour strategies and child-centred support plans
*Up-to-date safeguarding training (Prospero can provide training if needed)
*Excellent communication skills and a caring, supportive approach
*Experience with personal care is beneficial but not essential
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE WITH PROSPERO, YOU MUST: *Hold Right to Work in the UK
*Hold an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
*Be able to provide 24 months of employment references, including at least one child-related reference
*Have strong written and spoken English
