I am representing a company that requires a fluent German-speaking Credit Controller to join their dynamic finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced credit professional to work within a multinational environment, supporting German-speaking clients while contributing to the wider credit control function.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Manage the end-to-end credit control function for German-speaking customers.
*Chase outstanding payments via phone and email in both German and English.
*Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients to effectively resolve payment issues.
*Investigate and resolve disputed invoices in collaboration with internal teams.
*Monitor customer credit limits and assess credit risk.
*Allocate and reconcile incoming payments.
*Prepare aged debt reports and support month-end financial processes.
*Escalate overdue debts where appropriate.
*Contribute to the continuous improvement of credit control processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Fluent in German (written and verbal) – essential.
*Previous experience in Credit Control, Accounts Receivable, or a similar finance role.
*Strong communication and negotiation skills.
*Ability to manage a high-volume ledger and prioritise workload effectively.
*High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and strong analytical abilities.
*Proficient with MS Office; experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) is advantageous.
*A team player with a proactive and professional approach.
