Receptionist
Central London (W1)
Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm (30-minute lunch)
£26,000 - £28,000 DOE
We are seeking a professional and personable Receptionist to join a well-presented mixed-use building in Central London. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys being the face of a building and takes pride in delivering exceptional front-of-house service.
The building comprises medical clinic spaces alongside a small number of residential apartments, creating a varied and engaging working environment.
The RoleAs Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, clinicians, residents and contractors. You will ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the front desk while providing administrative support and maintaining a welcoming, professional atmosphere at all times.
This role would suit someone calm, organised and proactive, who can confidently manage multiple tasks while delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities*Welcoming visitors and notifying relevant parties of their arrival
*Managing appointment arrivals and departures
*Answering and screening phone calls
*Maintaining and updating calendars and meeting schedules
*Sorting post and arranging couriers
*Coordinating contractor visits and liaising with facilities management
*Monitoring building communications and announcements
*Maintaining security procedures and controlling access
*Ensuring the reception area remains tidy and presentable
*Providing a brief weekly handover/report on building activity
*Supporting with general administrative tasks including travel arrangements when required
About You*Minimum 1 year experience in a reception or administrative role (graduates also considered)
*Strong customer service skills and a professional, approachable manner
*Calm and efficient under pressure
*PC literate with good Microsoft Office knowledge
*Flexible, reliable and a strong team player
*Able to work independently and use initiative
*Good attendance record
*Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
