Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Team Leader to join our successful client based south of Norwich.
The Supply Chain Team Leader is responsible for leading and coordinating the end-to-end supply chain activities. This role ensures efficient product flow from suppliers to customers, optimises service levels, maintains strong supplier and customer relationships, and drives operational excellence across procurement, planning, and logistics functions.
Main Duties
*Lead, motivate, and develop the supply chain team to achieve performance targets.
*Allocate workload effectively and ensure clear role accountability.
*Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching, and development planning.
*Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
*Monitor stock service levels and logistics risks.
*Coordinate logistics and distribution activities to ensure timely delivery.
*Manage order processing, fulfilment, and customer service coordination.
*Build and maintain strong relationships with logistics partners.
*Support contract negotiations and service level agreements (SLAs).
*Monitor supplier performance and address supply chain disruptions proactively.
*Help identify cost-saving opportunities across procurement and logistics.
*Monitor supply chain KPIs including OTIF, cold chain integrity non conformities and transport and logistics costs.
*Help ensure compliance with regulatory, quality, and food safety standards (where applicable).
*Drive process standardisation and continuous improvement initiatives.
*Help support system enhancements and digitalisation projects.
Skills & Experience
*Proven experience in supply chain, logistics, or procurement within an agent, broker, or distribution environment.
*Demonstrated experience leading or supervising a team.
*Experience working with ERP systems.
*Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
*Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
*Experience within FMCG
*Advanced Excel
