Client Support Officer – Financial

Aatom Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Client Support Officer (Financial) to support a local authority within their Adult Social Care Directorate. This role is offered on an 8-month contract, with the possibility of extension.
Training may be required on-site. Further details will be discussed with the team manager at interview.
About the RoleAn opportunity has arisen to join the Self Directed Support Team to provide maternity leave cover. The team supports Adult Social Care clients, carers, and families who receive social care funding through a Direct Payment or Individual Service Fund.
You will play a key role in:
*Reconciling client accounts
*Calculating balances and producing detailed audit reports
*Investigating variances and managing re-claims
*Processing and paying care-related invoices
This is a crucial position ensuring that financial arrangements for vulnerable adults are accurate, transparent, and compliant.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will need:
*Experience working in a finance environment
*Strong numeracy skills and high attention to detail
*Ability to manage and prioritise your workload independently
*Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn new IT systems quickly
*Experience delivering a customer-focused service
*Strong communication skills, particularly when supporting vulnerable adults
*The ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external partners
