Operations Lead – Hospitality Sector
Location: Outside of Penrith
Salary: £35,000 per annum
Hours: 5 days out of 7 (flexibility required)
About the Role
I’m supporting a well-established and people-focused hospitality business outside of Penrith in their search for an Operations Lead. This organisation values authentic leadership, transparency, and culture fit above industry experience - they can teach the sector.
This is a hands-on leadership position overseeing around 50 staff across multiple departments. The successful candidate will lead by example, support their teams, and help create a positive, motivated working environment.
Key Responsibilities
*Lead, support, and develop teams across several hospitality departments
*Ensure smooth daily operations and high service standards
*Build strong working relationships with staff and department heads
*Communicate openly and honestly, promoting a positive culture
*Provide coaching, feedback, and guidance to team members
*Manage rotas, staffing levels, and general operational planning
*Be a visible, approachable leader who is present on the floor
What We’re Looking For
*Previous experience managing a team of 15+ (any sector)
*Strong people leadership and communication skills
*Ability to motivate, nurture and inspire staff
*A hands-on, proactive approach
*Flexibility to work 5 days out of 7, including weekends when required
*A passion for delivering excellent customer service
