Fire Safety Housing Officer
Location: London
Contract: 6 months (temporary)
Pay: Up to £220 per day (Umbrella)
Organisation: Premier Housing Association – Property Compliance Team
Join Premier Housing Association, managing over 17,000 homes across London, and become the frontline guardian of resident safety. Partnering closely with the London Fire Brigade, you’ll deliver vital fire safety services to ensure tenants live securely in their homes.
About the Role
This dynamic position focuses on proactive fire safety across our housing association properties. You’ll triage concerns from tenants and teams, conduct Person Centred Fire Risk Assessments (PCFRA) and Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans (PEEPs), and lead on hoarding casework with social care partners.
Key duties include:
*Handling referrals, home visits, and tailored action plans with the Fire Brigade.
*Monitoring tenancy compliance and escalating issues for swift resolution.
*Building partnerships, analysing trends, and championing fire safety through reports and resident engagement.
*Promoting equality, diversity, and continuous improvement in service delivery.
Expect flexible hours, including evenings/weekends, with smart working support.
What We’re Looking For *NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, ideally with housing/fire safety experience.
*Strong knowledge of fire risks, risk assessments, and housing regulations.
*Excellent relationship-building, report-writing, and problem-solving skills.
*A ’can-do’ attitude, commitment to resident-first service, and ability to stay calm in challenging situations.
