We are seeking a Finance Manager for a 12-month maternity cover. This role is ideal for someone with robust hands-on experience in financial operations, who thrives in a fast-paced, commercially focused environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Prepare monthly management accounts and maintain balance sheet reconciliations.
*Monitor cash flow and conduct forecasting.
*Manage accounts payable and receivable, including the preparation and submission of VAT returns.
*Oversee payroll and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
*Handle day-to-day finance operations within Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, including posting journals, reconciliations, and adjustments.
*Support year-end accounts preparation and liaise with external accountants.
*Maintain strong financial controls and processes.
*Assist in budgeting and financial planning.
Required Skills:
*Proven experience as a Finance Manager or in a similar role.
*Strong proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics Business Central.
*Extensive experience managing payroll.
*In-depth knowledge of UK accounting standards and VAT regulations.
*Excellent attention to detail.
*Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
*Familiarity with multi-currency transactions.
*Proven track record of improving financial processes.
