Powder Coater
*Location: Buntingford, Herts.
*Rate Guide: £13.00 - £16.00 per hour, depending on experience
*Temp to Perm
We are seeking an experienced Powder Coater (Powder Coating Operative) to join a busy production team. This is a temp-to-perm position working a 40-hour week with set hours of 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
Key responsibilities:
*Prepare components for finishing: cleaning, degreasing, masking and hanging parts.
*Operate powder spray booth and curing ovens safely and efficiently.
*Apply powder coatings to meet specified finish, colour and thickness standards.
*Carry out routine quality checks and final inspections; correct defects or report issues.
*Maintain a clean, organised work area and perform basic routine maintenance of equipment.
*Follow health & safety procedures, COSHH and environmental controls for coating operations.
*Record production data and complete required paperwork.
Skills and experience required:
*Proven experience as a powder coater or in a similar finishing role.
*Strong understanding of powder coating process, spray techniques and oven curing.
*Good attention to detail and commitment to producing consistent, high-quality finishes.
*Ability to work standing for prolonged periods and handle parts of varying size and weight.
*Reliable, punctual and able to work within a team environment.
*Basic numeracy and record-keeping skills.
