We are a well-established and growing SME accountancy practice based in Market Deeping, providing bookkeeping and accountancy services to a diverse portfolio of owner-managed businesses.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and client-focused Bookkeeper to join our friendly and professional team.

The Role

This is a varied and hands-on position where you will manage bookkeeping services for multiple clients. The successful candidate will be comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a practice environment.
Key Responsibilities *Managing bookkeeping for a portfolio of SME clients
*CIS Experience
*Processing purchase and sales invoices
*Bank and credit card reconciliations
*Preparing and submitting VAT returns
*Assisting with management accounts preparation
*Maintaining and reviewing client accounting records
*Liaising directly with clients to resolve queries
*Supporting year-end accounts preparation
*Assisting with payroll processing (desirable)
*Ensuring compliance with HMRC and statutory requirements
Skills & Experience Required *Previous experience working within an accountancy practice
*Strong working knowledge of Xero, Sage, and/or QuickBooks
*Good understanding of VAT processes and reporting
*Experience managing multiple clients simultaneously
*Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
*Confident communicator with strong client-facing skills
*AAT qualified or qualified by experience
