Job Description:
We are currently working on behalf of a well-known entertainment company who are recruiting for a warehouse supervisor/Manager to join their well-established team.
Hours: 8-5:30 Monday-Thursday & 8-3:30 Friday.
Salary: £35k plus bonus payable yearly.
Summary

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Warehouse Supervisor/Manager to lead our client’s warehouse operations in Chessington. This is a key role responsible for inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, health & safety, and the day-to-day leadership of the warehouse team.

The Role

You will be responsible for the smooth and efficient running of all warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch. You will ensure stock accuracy, compliance with health & safety legislation, and high service levels for both internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Manage all warehouse and inventory control operations

• Plan and optimise warehouse layout and space utilisation

• Oversee goods in/out, picking, packing, and dispatch operations within UK and overseas

• Must have a strong understanding of international shipping regulations, documentation requirements, and associated costs

• Maintain stock accuracy through weekly stock checks and variance control

• Ensure picking and dispatch accuracy targets of 98%+

• Keep stock loss below 1% of annual cost of sales

• Produce regular stock and performance reports

• Manage returned stock processes efficiently and accurately

• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and warehousing legislation

• Maintain a clean, safe, and secure warehouse environment

• Lead, coach, and develop the warehouse team of three

• Plan rotas, assign tasks, and monitor team performance

• Liaise with suppliers, transport partners, and internal departments

Essential:

• Proven experience supervising/managing a warehouse or distribution operation

• Strong knowledge of health & safety and warehouse best practice

• Experience with inventory control and stock accuracy

• Confident people manager with good communication skills

• High attention to detail and good numerical skills

• Physically capable of manual handling duties

Desirable:

• Forklift licence
