An established and highly regarded engineering firm in South Yorkshire is seeking an experienced Customer Service Manager to lead and develop its customer support function. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive leader who thrives on driving efficiencies, improving processes, and delivering an outstanding client experience within a technical environment.

The Role
Reporting into senior leadership, you will take ownership of the end-to-end customer service and sales order processing function. You’ll lead a small team, streamline administrative workflows, and ensure customers receive a responsive, professional service at every touchpoint.
Key Responsibilities
*Manage, coach, and develop the customer service and sales administration team
*Oversee the full sales order processing cycle, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
*Act as a key escalation point for customer queries and complex issues
*Build strong relationships with clients, internal departments, and key stakeholders
*Review and improve processes to drive efficiency, service levels, and productivity
*Produce and analyse service KPIs, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
*Support wider commercial and operational objectives of the business
About You
*Proven experience in a Customer Service Manager or similar leadership role
*Background within engineering, manufacturing, or a technical product environment preferred
*Strong understanding of sales order processing and customer administration workflows
*Demonstrable experience improving processes and delivering measurable efficiencies
*Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
*Hands-on leadership style with the ability to motivate and develop teams
*Highly organised with strong attention to detail
