My client are a medium sized wealth planning firm with offices in Westminster, Central London who offer financial advice to HNW retirees, accumulators, large families and SME owners based across London and the southeast. In their current setup they manage the affairs of clients with assets ranging greatly from basic cases of £250k up to £20m+ to invest. They give advice on pensions, investments, tax planning, cashflow modelling, retirement planning and protections etc. They have very longstanding relations stretching back 20+ years.
The business operates in a pod structure and one of the highest billing advisers manages close to £120m AUM and the adviser is seeking to retire in the next 2 - 2.5 years and he is seeking an "Associate Adviser", essentially a Senior Paraplanner/Junior Adviser who can work on a 1-2-1 basis with him in his pod be client facing with a view to you taking over a portion of his clients as he seeks to step back and retire in the near future.
You do not need your CAS, the adviser will support you getting this signed off and he wants the successful candidate to be advising in 6 months, but you will be client facing from day 1. Strong technical knowledge of pensions, investments, tax planning and esoteric schemes will be crucial. You will have 3+ years of experience within an IFA firm and have been client facing and comfortable dealing with HNW clients. You will ideally be Chartered or at least working towards it.
