Behaviour Support Worker
Location: Huddersfield
Contract: Full-time & Part-time opportunities available
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support Worker to join our supply bank for work in the Huddersfield area.
As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will work closely with students, staff, and families to promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning. A key part of being a Behaviour Support Worker is helping students overcome barriers, develop social and emotional skills, and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
*Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with behavioural needs
*Implement strategies to promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being
*Work collaboratively with teachers and pastoral staff to create tailored support plans
*Monitor and record progress, ensuring interventions are effective and timely
*Act as a positive role model, building strong relationships with students and families
What We’re Looking For
*Experience working with children or young people in an educational or care setting
*Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to complete one
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills
*Ability to remain calm and solution-focused in challenging situations
*A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
