Job Description:
*Hourly Rate: £14.10 - £15.70
*Location: Local to Hedge End
*Job Type: Temporary, Part-time (20-25 hours per week)
We are currently recruiting for a Payroll Specialist on behalf of a reputable company local to Hedge End. This 3 month temporary position offers the potential for permanent employment and involves managing payroll for 300 staff members. The successful candidate will work closely with another experienced payroller and report directly to the CFO. This role requires a quick onboarding process and the ability to adapt to ongoing changes within the organisation.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Manage payroll operations for approximately 300 employees, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
*Collaborate with another payroll professional to handle all payroll-related tasks.
*Utilize payroll systems such as Paycircle and People HR to automate processes and manage zero-hour staff payments efficiently.
*Ensure compliance with all payroll legislation, including National Minimum Wage and pension schemes.
*Report directly to the CFO and collaborate on implementing new changes and improvements within the payroll department.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven experience managing payroll for a headcount of 300+ across multiple companies.
*Excellent knowledge of payroll legislation, including pensions and other statutory requirements.
*Experience with Paycircle and People HR systems is highly desirable.
*Ability to handle zero hours contracts and manage varied pension contributions effectively.
*Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently without the need for training.
