Job Description:
Conflicts and New Business Team Leader
Elite US law firm is seeking a Conflicts and New Business Team Leader to supervise the London team of Conflicts and AML Analysts and a Conflicts New Business Team Administrator to ensure day to day delivery of new business intake, conflicts clearance and AML processes across the UK and EU offices.
*Salary to £85,000

Conflicts and New Business Team Leader Key Responsibilities:
*Set clear daily and weekly objectives to ensure timely completion of conflicts checks, AML reviews, and matter openings
*Allocate and prioritise workloads, including urgent and time-sensitive requests, to meet deadlines
*Provide day-to-day guidance on conflicts and AML policies, ensuring consistent, compliant application
*Conduct regular one-to-ones to support performance, development, and operational effectiveness
*Contribute to hiring, onboarding, performance, promotion, and reward decisions
*Oversee and conduct conflicts searches, exercising judgement in reviewing results and escalating where appropriate
*Oversee and conduct client due diligence and AML risk assessments in line with policy and regulation
*Review AML documentation for accuracy and consistency, escalating higher-risk cases without delay
*Oversee preparation and submission of New Business Forms, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Conflicts and New Business Team Leader Skills & Requirements:
*Previous experience in a similar role within a law firm
*Broad operational knowledge of conflicts, AML and new business intake processes
*Understanding of core management practices including scheduling, prioritising, coaching, and monitoring quality of work
*Sound judgement in identifying issues requiring escalation
