A well-established, client-focused accountancy practice is looking for an Audit and Accounts Supervisor to join it’s Romford office.
This is a hands-on role with a 60/40 split between audit and accounts work. You’ll be involved in all aspects of client engagements including audits, preparation of accounts, bookkeeping, payroll, and VAT, while supervising and mentoring junior staff.
Role Responsibilities
*Lead and manage audit assignments, ensuring compliance and quality standards.
*Prepare statutory accounts and financial statements across a variety of clients.
*Oversee bookkeeping, payroll processing, and VAT submissions.
*Review junior staff work and provide coaching and development support.
*Maintain strong client relationships and act as a key contact for queries.
*Support management with planning and team coordination.
*Identify additional service opportunities for clients.
Personal Requirements
*Qualified ACA/ACCA or part-qualified with strong audit and accounts experience.
*Solid practice background covering both audit and accounts preparation.
*Hands-on experience in bookkeeping, payroll, and VAT.
*Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
*Ability to manage multiple client assignments independently.
*Proactive, detail-oriented, and client-focused.
