RANDSTAD has partnered with Impact Children and Education (North East) in seeking a dedicated Senior Residential Support Worker to join their nurturing environment. Tasks As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will be instrumental in providing direct care and support to young people within a residential setting. Your responsibilities will include:
*Providing direct care and support to young people in a residential setting.
*Offering guidance and mentorship to junior support staff.
*Assisting in the development and implementation of care plans.
*Ensuring a safe, positive, and stimulating environment for residents.
*Maintaining accurate records and documentation.
*Upholding high standards of safeguarding and child protection.
*Facilitating engaging activities and promoting personal development.
*Working collaboratively with the care team and external agencies.
Skills We are looking for individuals who possess:
*Min. 3 years of Experience in a residential care setting, or a strong desire to step into a senior role.
*Proven ability to be patient, empathetic, and resilient.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
*Eagerness to take on more responsibility.
*Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and sleep-ins
*Must hold or be working towards a Level 3 in Children’s Residential Care.
*Relevant experience in childcare or a similar field.
*Proficiency in guidance and support techniques.
*Knowledge of safeguarding practices.
