Job Description:
The Company
Our client is an established and growing organisation undergoing a period of positive development and change. Known for their collaborative culture and strong internal values, they offer a supportive environment where people are encouraged to contribute ideas, take ownership, and help shape how the business evolves. The company is expanding its operations and strengthening its internal infrastructure, creating a need for a capable HR Generalist who can work confidently across a broad remit within a small, hands-on People function.
The Opportunity
This is a true generalist HR role, ideal for someone who enjoys variety and is comfortable working across both advisory and administrative responsibilities. You’ll work closely with the People Manager, supporting all aspects of HR, including employee relations, HR operations, recruitment, onboarding, and people development. Because the team is small, this role requires someone flexible, proactive, and willing to "muck in" wherever needed. This is initially a 6-month fixed-termrole with potential for an extension depending on business needs.
Key Responsibilities
*Provide practical day-to-day HR advice to managers and employees
*Manage ER matters including disciplinaries, grievances, and capability issues
*Support managers with policy interpretation and best-practice guidance
*Assist with performance management, including PIPs and documentation
*Maintain and update HRIS records, supporting managers on system use
*Provide general HR administration as part of a hands-on team
*Support full recruitment cycles across a range of roles
*Support managers in reviewing team structures and role design
*Promote management tools that help build high-performing teams
Summary
This role offers an excellent opportunity for an HR professional seeking broad exposure across all areas of HR in a growing and evolving organisation. It’s ideal for someone who is adaptable, confident working independently, and enjoys a balance of advisory work and operational HR. You’ll play a key role in supporting managers, strengthening HR foundations, and contributing to the development of people practices across the organisation, all within a friendly, supportive environment. Please apply ASAP as this role will move quickly.
