Salary: £90 to £100 per day

Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a mainstream setting?
Hays Education is working closely with a reputable mainstream primary/secondary school seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team.
Your new role
*Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with additional learning needs (e.g. Autism, ADHD, SEMH, Speech & Language)
*Assist the class teacher with adapting resources and lessons to meet individual needs
*Encourage positive behaviour and enable pupils to access the curriculum
*Help create an inclusive, nurturing learning environment
*Work closely with SENCOs, teachers, and external professionals to support pupil progress
What you’ll need to succeed
*Experience supporting children with SEN (school, care, or youth settings considered)
*A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
*Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
*A willingness to use initiative and follow guidance
*A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through Hays)
