Job Description:
SEN Teaching Assistant
A warm and welcoming Primary School in Camden is seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible on a full-time, long-term basis.
SEN Teaching Assistant will be supporting two children with ASD within a Year 1 classroom, providing consistent 1:1 and small group support to help them access learning. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored strategies, support emotional regulation, and create a structured, nurturing environment where both children can thrive academically and socially.
The perfect SEN Teaching Assistant will have experience supporting children with SEND, including ASD. They will be confident working with Key Stage 1 children, have EYFS and play-based learning experience, and a strong background in supporting children with SEMH needs.

*Maintain records of children’s progress and report observations as needed
*ASAP Start
*Long-term / Term Time Only
*£105 - £125 per day

PERSON SPECIFICATION
*Experience supporting children with SEND, including ASD
*Knowledge of EYFS and Key Stage 1 approaches, with a focus on learning through play
*Experience supporting children with SEMH needs
*Ability to provide structured 1:1 support
*Strong communication and ability to work with teachers, SENCOs and other staff
*Patience, empathy, and adaptability to meet individual kid’s needs
