Audit Senior - Independent Accounting Firm
Northampton
£45,000 to £60,000 DOE
Butler Rose Public Practice is pleased to be supporting a well-established accountancy firm in Northampton in their search for an Audit Senior to join their growing team.
This opportunity would suit an experienced audit professional looking to take ownership of assignments, support junior team members, and work with a varied client base across multiple sectors. The role offers a strong blend of audit and accounts preparation within a supportive and technically focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
*Lead a variety of audit assignments, ensuring delivery within budget and to a high technical standard
*Prepare statutory financial statements under FRS102
*Prepare corporation tax computations
*Support and train junior members of the audit team
*Maintain and strengthen client relationships
*Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards and regulatory requirements
*Identify and recommend improvements to internal controls and processes
Key Requirements
*ACA or ACCA qualified
*Minimum 5 years’ audit experience within a UK accountancy practice
*Strong experience preparing accounts for companies, partnerships, and sole traders
*Solid understanding of UK GAAP and FRS102
*Experience auditing UK companies
*Proficient in Xero, QuickBooks, Sage and Microsoft Excel
*Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
*Professional, proactive, and confident communicator
