Eventus Recruitment is seeking a Private Client Solicitor – Wills and Probate to join an established and reputable law firm based in Chichester, West Sussex. This is an excellent opportunity for a Private Client Fee Earner with 2-5 years PQE who is confident managing their own caseload and is looking to join a supportive and client focused team. The role offers a salary of £45-60k depending on experience, 25 days holiday increasing with service up to 30 days, additional leave over the Christmas period, an extra day off for your birthday, private healthcare, employer pension contributions, and free parking.
Role Responsibilities
The Private Client Solicitor will be based in the Chichester, West Sussex office and manage a varied caseload of private client matters and deliver high quality advice to a loyal and growing client base.
The day to day responsibilities within this role include:
*Managing probate and estate administration matters ranging from straightforward estates below the inheritance tax threshold to more complex taxable estates requiring IHT400 forms and relevant schedules
*Drafting Wills and advising clients on estate planning matters
*Preparing Lasting Powers of Attorney
*Undertaking Court of Protection work
*Advising and supporting older clients and high net worth individuals
*Maintaining high standards of client care and clear communication throughout each matter
*Working collaboratively within the Private Client team to ensure efficient case progression
Person Specification
The successful Private Client Fee Earner in Chichester, West Sussex will have 2-5 years PQE within a private client department and experience managing their own caseload with appropriate supervision.
In addition, you will possess the following experience, skills, and attributes:
*Strong technical knowledge of probate, estate administration, Wills, and Lasting Powers of Attorney
*Experience handling taxable estates and preparing IHT400 documentation
*Confidence working with a diverse client base including elderly and high net worth clients
*Strong IT skills and the ability to work effectively within a busy office environment in Chichester, West Sussex
*A proactive and organised approach with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
