Jacob Grey have partnered with a growing manufacturing SME in Hemel Hempstead, to appoint a new Finance Manager.


Reporting into, and collaborating closely with the Managing Director, your duties will include:
*Preparation of monthly management accounts (balancesheet reconciliations, Profit & Loss, accruals, prepayments, journals)
*Presenting the accounts quarterly to the MD with commentary/analysis/recommendations
*Preparation of the Annual Budget in conjunction with the MD (as well as subsequent review
*Cashflow tracking and reporting monthly
*VAT returns
*Bank reconciliations
*Accounts Receivable duties to include issuing customer invoices (including staged invoicing for specific projects), chasing debt via telephone and email and allocating cash to the correct accounts
*Acting as a business partner to the MD (and other relevant members of the leadership team) to provide commercial/financial insight when required
*Collaborating with the MD with regards to new, larger projects including pricing, profit margins, costing, and regular reviews during the life-cycle of the project
*Preparation of year end info for the external Accountants
*Potential for specific stock/WIP related projects as instructed by the MD
*Streamlining any existing financial processes as well as utilising the IT software to it’s best effect
*Ad hoc analysis/tasks as and when instructed by the MD

The successful candidate can be qualified, part qualified or QBE, but must have a track record in similar roles, be commercially minded, and possess tons of initiative. Ideally you will also have manufacturing experience (although not essential).
