Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated Developed Markets Corporate Credit Analyst to join our growing credit platform, contributing to both hedge fund and CLO investment strategies. This role is ideal for a candidate with strong fundamental credit expertise, a proactive mindset, and a desire to help build and scale a best-in-class credit franchise.
Key Responsibilities
Fundamental Credit Coverage
*Conduct deep, ongoing fundamental analysis on a portfolio of issuers across the capital structure, including both leveraged loans and corporate bonds.
*Monitor key business, financial, industry, and market developments to inform investment theses and risk assessments.
*Deliver timely insights on credit trends, catalysts, and relative value opportunities.
CLO Platform Development
*Play an integral role in the buildout of a new CLO investment platform in collaboration with senior portfolio managers and capital markets leadership.
*Evaluate primary and secondary loan opportunities, develop investment cases, and present recommendations to the CLO Investment Committee.
*Support portfolio construction and positioning by providing consistent, high-quality issuer analysis.
Hedge Fund Credit Strategy Contribution
*Contribute to core fundamental credit strategies with a focus on primary issuance and short-duration opportunities.
*Identify relative-value and distressed investments and prepare trade ideas for review by the Head of Fundamental Credit.
*Assist in implementing approved trade ideas and monitoring performance post-execution.
Primary Market Engagement
*Help strengthen the firm’s presence in the credit primary market by actively analyzing new issue transactions across sectors.
*Generate reverse inquiries with bank syndicate desks to source differentiated deal flow.
*Participate in wall-crossing processes where appropriate, ensuring adherence to compliance and information-handling protocols.
Qualifications & Experience
*3-8 years of fundamental corporate credit experience, ideally within a buy-side investment firm.
*Strong analytical capabilities and familiarity with complex capital structures.
*Experience covering both leveraged loans and high-yield bonds is highly preferred.
*Demonstrated ability to generate investment ideas and articulate them clearly in written and verbal formats.
*Highly proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced, collaborative environment.
*London-based or willing to relocate.
