The Accounts Payable Assistant will support the Accounting & Finance department in managing financial transactions and ensuring accurate record-keeping. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to contribute to the professional services industry in York on a fixed-term contract.

*Process and manage accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently.
*Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
*Maintain and update records of invoices and payments.
*Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
*Assist in preparing reports and financial documentation as required.
*Support the Accounting & Finance team with project-related tasks.
*Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely payment processing.
*Provide general administrative support to the department.
Profile
*Experience in accounts payable or a similar role within Finance.
*Strong organisational and time-management skills.
*Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
*An eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
*A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
*Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
*A background in accounting or finance is advantageous.
