Learning & Development Advisor
Farnham or Basingstoke (Hybrid)
Full-time, Permanent
Offering c. £32,000
An established and fast-growing professional services organisation is looking for a Learning & Development Advisor to join their supportive People & Culture team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone at the early stages of their L&D career who is eager to learn, get hands-on experience, and develop quickly in a role with lots of variety and exposure .As part of continued expansion, the organisation is introducing this new role to strengthen its L&D capability.
This position is perfect for someone who wants to build their confidence and experience across all areas of Learning & Development. You’ll be supported by experienced colleagues while taking ownership of tasks that will help you grow into a well-rounded L&D professional. This is a hands-on role where you’ll learn a lot, work closely with experienced colleagues, and gain exposure to senior leaders.
About the role:
*Acting as a helpful first point of contact for L&D queries.
*Supporting a wide range of learning activities such as onboarding, workshops, and early-career development programmes.
*Coordinating training logistics - booking rooms, organising materials, scheduling virtual sessions, and ensuring everything runs smoothly on the day.
*Preparing communications like joining instructions, reminders and follow-ups to create a positive learner experience.
*Helping design engaging learning materials, including digital content and promotional assets using tools where training will be provided if needed.
*Maintaining accurate data within learning systems, monitoring completion rates and updating records.
*Supporting compliance training and tracking progress for qualifications.
*Creating simple reports in Excel or via LMS insights as you build confidence with training data.
About you:
You don’t need years of experience — just the right attitude and a genuine interest in L&D. The ideal person will have:
*Around 1–2 years of Learning & Development or HR experience.
*A desire to start or continue a CIPD Level 3 or 5 qualification.
*Strong organisation skills and excellent attention to detail.
*Confidence coordinating events or logistics.
*A friendly, approachable style when supporting colleagues.
*Basic understanding of LMS platforms or digital learning tools (or willingness to learn).
*Experience with MS Office, especially Excel, and tools like Teams/Zoom.
*Interest in using design tools such as Canva.
*A proactive, curious mindset and a passion for helping people learn.
*A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for weekly travel.
