Production Manager
Yeovil | £40-50,000 | Days
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Production Manager to join a well-established and fast-growing food manufacturing business. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a high-performing production team within a fast-paced, quality-driven factory environment.
The Role As Production Manager, you will be responsible for leading daily operations across the factory floor, ensuring production targets are achieved safely, efficiently, and in line with strict food safety standards.
You’ll play a key role in driving performance, improving processes, and maintaining a strong culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities * Lead and develop production supervisors and operatives across multiple lines
* Deliver daily, weekly, and monthly production targets (KPIs, OEE, waste, yield, downtime)
* Ensure full compliance with food safety standards, including HACCP and BRC
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing projects
* Manage labour planning, rotas, and performance management
* Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Technical, Planning, and Warehouse teams
* Champion health & safety and maintain a positive safety culture
What We’re Looking For * Proven experience as a Production Manager or Supervisor within food manufacturing
* Strong understanding of FMCG environments
* Experience managing large teams in a fast-paced factory setting
* Knowledge of food safety standards and audit processes
* Data-driven mindset with experience improving KPIs
* Confident leader with excellent communication skills
