Quality Assurance Inspector

Rotating shift pattern
A leading biomedical device company is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector to support its quality operations across a rotating double-day shift. This position plays a key role in ensuring that all products meet stringent regulatory, customer, and internal quality requirements. The successful candidate will carry out in-coming, in-process, and final inspections while contributing to continuous improvement across the business.
Key Responsibilities
*Conduct mechanical, physical, and visual inspections on raw materials, in-process components, and finished medical device products in line with specification and quality plans.
*Perform first-article, in-process, and final release checks to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory expectations.
*Maintain accurate inspection records, logs, and documentation within the quality management system.
*Support investigations into non-conformances, deviations, and process improvement initiatives in collaboration with quality and engineering teams.
*Ensure inspection equipment is maintained and calibrated and assist in implementing new or updated quality procedures and standards.
Skills & Experience
*Strong understanding of quality management systems, ideally including ISO 13485, ISO 9001, and/or cGMP principles relevant to biomedical device manufacturing.
*Excellent attention to detail with the ability to interpret technical specifications, drawings, and part prints.
*Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
*Highly organised, methodical, and able to maintain accurate documentation and quality records.
*Ability to work independently on rotating shifts while delivering consistent, high-quality output.
