Senior Buyer – Leeds – Competitive package
Elevation Recruitment Group are proud to be partnering with a leading manufacturing company in Leeds who are seeking a skilled Senior Buyer to join their team. You will take ownership of the strategic sourcing and procurement of materials, ensuring alignment with engineering specifications, quality standards, and production requirements.

Duties:
*Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to ensure competitive cost and value.
*Procure materials in accordance with specifications, quality standards, and manufacturing requirements.
*Collaborate with suppliers to investigate and resolve quality or delivery issues.
*Identify, evaluate, and develop new and alternative sources for products.
*Manage supplier relationships to ensure performance expectations related to cost, quality, delivery, and service are met.
*Support new product introductions (NPI) and engineering changes by coordinating supplier readiness and material transitions.
*Participate in cross-functional initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
*Analyse demand signals, forecasts, and MRP outputs to proactively manage material availability.
*Maintain awareness of purchasing policies, regulatory requirements, trade considerations, and market conditions.
Required Skills & Experience:
*Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
*Purchasing experience in an MRP-driven manufacturing environment.
*Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and commodity categories.
*Demonstrated negotiation skills and commercial awareness.
*Experience supporting and implementing change management initiatives.
*Ability to maintain effective relationships with peers, suppliers, and customers.
*Service-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
