We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established car garage in Darlington that’s looking for a skilled and reliable Vehicle Mechanic to join their busy workshop. You will be reporting directly to the Service Manager, with the opportunity to grow and develop your skills in a supportive environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional who takes pride in delivering high-quality work and being part of a friendly, professional team.
Key Responsibilities:
*Perform vehicle servicing, repairs, and maintenance to a high standard
*Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently and accurately
*Maintain accurate records of work completed
*Work as part of a friendly and professional team
*Ensure the workshop is clean, safe, and organised
Essential Requirements:
*NVQ / City & Guilds Level 3 or above in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
*Minimum 3 years’ experience in vehicle servicing and repairs
*Full UK driving licence
*Own tools
*Good written and verbal English
*Competent with computers
*Team player with a positive attitude
Desirable / Advantageous Skills:
*MOT Tester qualification
*EV (Electric Vehicle) training
*Diagnostics training
Additional:
*Salary starting from £30,000 + bonus
*Holidays: 22 days + bank holidays
