Workshop Supervisor – Engineering £44,616 per annum | Permanent | 25 days holiday + Pension
We are recruiting for a Workshop Supervisor to lead a busy CNC manufacturing workshop. This is a working supervisory role, combining hands-on machining knowledge with strong leadership skills to keep production running efficiently.
The RoleYou will oversee a team of skilled and semi-skilled machinists, ensuring smooth production flow while maintaining processes, maximising machine utilisation, and meeting OEE targets. This is a hands-on role where you’ll support the team on the shop floor while driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
*Supervise and motivate a team of machinists
*Monitor production flow and maintain processes & procedures
*Maximise cycle times and machine efficiency
*Troubleshoot issues, recommend solutions, and keep machines running
*Ensure targets and quality standards are met
About You*Experience managing shop floor machinists (skilled and semi-skilled)
*Strong leadership and people management skills
*Problem-solving mindset with the ability to investigate and recommend solutions
*Familiarity with CNC machines and workshop operations
*Hands-on approach and comfortable supporting the team on the shop floor
