Hybrid working – 3 days office / 2 days from home
ENB have partnered with our manufacturing client in Northamptonshire who are looking for a Purchasing Manager to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.
The business has over 50 years of experience and is a global leader in their sector, operating within multiple branches in the UK and overseas. As they continue to establish their new manufacturing site, they’re looking for a Purchasing Manager to help build a reliable, efficient and sustainable supply chain.
As the Purchasing Manager for the UK, you will oversee all procurement activities including managing regional suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring cost effective purchasing working closely with internal teams and global lead buyers, you’ll contribute to their sustainability goals and ensure compliance within purchasing policies.
Day to day you will:
*Execute local purchasing activities aligned with group strategy.
*Coordinate purchasing needs with operations, logistics and other departments.
*Select suppliers from approved lists and issue orders under framework agreements.
*Manage local supplier relationships, evaluations and negotiations.
*Monitor delivery timelines, quality and stock requirements.
*Maintain accurate procurement data in the ERP system.
*Identify and implement cost saving opportunities and market trend monitoring and evaluations.
*Support import transactions and customs documentation.
*Ensure compliance with purchasing policies and sustainability standards.
Experience required:
*Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or CIPS, CPSM or C.P.M.or similar
*Purchasing/procurement experience, ideally in manufacturing.
*Strong negotiation and analytical skills, with a structured working style.
*Proficient in Microsoft Office including advanced Excel
*ERP experience is a plus.
