I am partnering exclusively with a highly sophisticated, globally active investment organisation to appoint a Data Architect into a newly created data function. This is a rare opportunity to shape the foundation of a strategic, business-critical data capability within a complex, fast-moving environment.
As the Data Architect, you will play a pivotal role in defining, designing, and overseeing the delivery of modern, cloud-native data architecture across the organisation. The role demands both strategic vision and hands-on technical depth, particularly within Azure.
Key Responsibilities
*Design and implement scalable, cloud-native data architectures on Microsoft Azure
*Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models
*Ensure consistent representation of borrowers, counterparties, exposures, and asset-level data
*Collaborate closely with Data Engineering teams to optimise pipelines, storage patterns, and performance
*Provide long-term strategic guidance on data governance, modelling, and architecture maturity
*Support the build-out of a new enterprise-wide data capability with global impact
Required Experience
*7+ years working with complex data models and unifying disparate datasets
*Strong background across financial data domains (e.g., transactions, market data, loan lifecycle, reference data)
*Demonstrable expertise designing and delivering enterprise-grade data platforms in Azure
*Hands-on experience with modern data modelling, data warehousing, and cloud architecture patterns
*Exposure to real estate, loan servicing or financial operating platforms is advantageous
*Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field
