As a key member of the team, you will focus on promoting safe, effective, and innovative moving and handling practices across the community. You will play a crucial role in supporting service users to maximise independence while ensuring safety and compliance with best practice standards.

What you will do*Identify and implement opportunities for safe and effective single-handed care solutions tailored to individual service users.
*Assess moving and handling needs and recommend appropriate assistive equipment, including hoists, slide sheets, and transfer aids.
*Deliver training to staff on safe moving and handling techniques and single-handed care approaches.
*Monitor outcomes to ensure quality, safety, and service user satisfaction, adjusting plans where necessary.
*Contribute to risk assessments and ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation.
*Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support safe discharge planning and community care.
About you*HCPC registered Occupational Therapist.
*Experience within moving and handling, manual handling assessment, or community occupational therapy.
*Strong understanding of risk assessment and single-handed care principles.
*Confident delivering training to staff and promoting best practice.
*Full UK driving licence, enabling travel across Hackney to deliver services.
