We currently require a Band 6 Substance Misuse Nurse in Medway, Kent for an ongoing contract, earning £34 hourly. This enticing opportunity allows you to work three days a week, specifically Tuesday to Thursday, while making a meaningful impact in the field of substance misuse. What you will do:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop personalised care plans for patients with substance misuse issues.
- Administer necessary tests and treatments, including FibroScan, ECG, and vaccinations.
- Provide advice, support, and guidance to patients, helping them to navigate their recovery journey.
- Undertake regular home visits to ensure patients receive ongoing support in their own environment.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and agencies to provide holistic care.
- Maintain accurate records in line with health and safety regulations and policies.
Requirements of the Substance Misuse Nurse:
Possess a relevant nursing qualification and active NMC Registration
Have recent experience in Substance Misuse, Substance Abuse, Addiction, Drug and Alcohol settings, or similar.
