OverviewWe are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to join our growing team in Preston. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a professional and forward-thinking business offering excellent earning potential and extensive ongoing training.
Key Responsibilities*Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs
*Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults
*Conduct vehicle inspections in line with DVSA standards
*Prepare vehicles for MOT
*Complete all job cards and service documentation accurately
*Work safely and efficiently in line with company and health and safety standards
Requirements*Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or time served
*Previous experience working on HGVs
*Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team
*Full UK driving licence (Class 1 desirable but not essential)
