Job Title: Humanitarian Fundraising & Partnerships Officer (Part-Time, 0.8 FTE)
Location: London, United Kingdom (Hybrid Working)
Salary: £27,571 per annum (80% of £34,464 FTE, inclusive of London Weighting)
OverviewOur client is an independent humanitarian organisation working to protect the rights of displaced and vulnerable people affected by crisis. Operating globally across multiple humanitarian contexts, the organisation delivers life-saving assistance, supports durable solutions, and advocates for principled humanitarian action.
The UK office plays a strategic role in strengthening partnerships with foundations, corporates, and private philanthropists to secure funding and advance humanitarian policy and practice.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional with a strong interest in humanitarian affairs, fundraising, and advocacy. The successful candidate will provide high-quality administrative and operational support to senior leadership and contribute directly to private fundraising and external engagement objectives.
This role is offered on a part-time basis (4 days per week, 80% FTE).
Responsibilities*Provide dedicated support (50%) to the Private Sector Partnerships Adviser and (50%) to the UK Director to help deliver private fundraising and broader strategic objectives.
*Support the achievement of fundraising targets through:
*Prospect research and identification of partnership opportunities
*Due diligence processes
*Relationship management and stakeholder communications
*Meeting coordination and event organisation
*Provide administrative and operational support to the UK Director, including:
*Coordinating and attending internal and external meetings
*Note-taking and minute preparation
*Research and briefing preparation
*Drafting and formatting documents
*Coordinating contributions to internal reporting, including the annual report
*Assist with advocacy, institutional funding engagement, strategic partnerships, compliance, and general office management as delegated.
*Execute agreed workplans and meet objectives and deadlines under the guidance of senior leadership.
*Provide additional ad hoc administrative support to the wider UK team as required.
Requirements*Minimum 3 years’ progressive professional experience, ideally within the UK third sector, in areas such as business development, fundraising, advocacy, or general administration.
*Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Politics, Law, Communications, International Relations, or a related field (equivalent professional experience will be considered).
*Demonstrated experience conducting prospect research and identifying partnership opportunities.
*Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
*Clear interest in humanitarian issues and understanding of ethical, rights-based humanitarian principles.
*Right to live and work in the United Kingdom.
