Assistant Accountant
*Annual Salary: £28k - £30k

My exclusive client in the Bolton area is seeking an Assistant Accountant on a permanent basis This position is due to expansion and has great progression opportunities.

Day-to-day of the role:
*Assisting with month-end duties through journals, reconciliations, variance checks and ensuring accurate financial data across key balance sheet accounts.
*Supporting day-to-day transactional finance, including processing invoices, expenses, credit control activity and maintaining clean customer and supplier ledgers.
*Maintaining accurate financial records by updating the general ledger, assisting with fixed asset tracking and ensuring compliance with internal controls.
*Assisting wider finance processes such as budgeting, forecasting, audit preparation, performance reporting and providing insight to internal stakeholders.
*Driving continuous improvement by resolving discrepancies, supporting automation opportunities and completing a range of ad-hoc finance tasks as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Demonstrates strong numeracy, attention to detail and analytical capability, with a good understanding of bookkeeping principles, double entry and financial controls.
*Experienced in in a similar Assistant Accountant Role
*Highly organised and self-motivated, able to communicate effectively with stakeholders, manage competing priorities and contribute to budgeting, forecasting, audits and wider finance team tasks.
