Location: Bromsgrove / Midlands

We’re working with a well-established accountancy practice based in the Midlands, who are looking to add an experienced Payroll Administrator to their dedicated payroll team. This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional who enjoys working in a client-facing, fast-paced environment and wants long-term progression within a supportive firm.
The roleAs Payroll Administrator, you will be responsible for processing multiple client payrolls accurately and on time, while acting as a key point of contact for payroll-related queries. You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring compliance, supporting auto-enrolment, and delivering a high-quality payroll service.
Key responsibilities*Process payrolls for a varied portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines
*Investigate and resolve payroll queries from clients, colleagues and external stakeholders
*Carry out routine and complex payroll administration tasks
*Set up new payrolls and onboard existing payrolls for new clients
*Liaise with clients and internal teams regarding payroll requirements and changes
*Set up pension schemes and submit pension schedules
*Manage pension queries and liaise with relevant providers
*Process auto-enrolment and re-declaration of pensions
*Stay up to date with payroll legislation and regulatory changes
*Ensure compliance with payroll regulations and GDPR requirements
About you*Minimum of 2 years’ payroll experience
*Experience using BrightPay payroll software (essential)
*Payroll experience within a bureau or accountancy practice environment is desirable
*Strong written and verbal communication skills
*Ability to multitask and manage competing deadlines
*Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
*Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
*Able to deliver work to a consistently high standard
*Strong Excel skills
