A welcoming and supportive primary school in Welling is seeking a confident and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team full-time from April on a fixed-term contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled HLTA who is passionate about supporting pupil progress and contributing meaningfully to classroom learning across the school.


The Role
*Work closely with class teachers to support teaching and learning, while also leading whole-class sessions where required.
*Delivering pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher
*Supporting small groups and individual pupils to accelerate progress
*Assisting with planning and preparation of learning activities
*Providing targeted support for pupils with additional needs
*Contributing to assessment and pupil progress tracking


Requirements
Applicants should:
*Hold a recognised HLTA qualification or equivalent relevant experience
*Have experience working within a primary school setting
*Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills
*Have GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above) or recognised equivalents
*Be confident leading whole-class learning
A proactive, adaptable and professional approach is essential, along with a genuine commitment to supporting children’s development.
