Music Teacher - Independent SEN School- Music Teacher- Berkhamsted
Location: Berkhamsted
Start Date: April 2026 - Christmas 2026

An outstanding independent SEN school in Berkhamsted is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Music Teacher to join their team from April until Christmas. This is a rare and exciting opportunity for a committed educator to deliver high-quality Music education within a specialist, nurturing environment.
The school provides exceptional support for pupils with a range of additional needs and prides itself on offering a creative, personalised curriculum. Schemes of work are already in place, enabling you to focus on high-quality teaching, engagement and progress.
The Role
*Deliver engaging Music lessons across the school, including GCSE Music
*Work with pupils with a variety of special educational needs
*Follow existing schemes of work while bringing your own creativity and expertise
*Work collaboratively with support staff and the wider teaching team
*Create a positive, inclusive and inspiring learning environment
Requirements
Essential:
*Prior experience teaching or covering GCSE Music
*Strong subject knowledge and confidence delivering the secondary curriculum
*Ability to adapt teaching for learners with diverse needs
Preferred:
*Experience working in a specialist or SEN setting
*Understanding of SEMH, autism or complex needs
Open to:
*Qualified Teachers (QTS / QTLS)
*Unqualified Teachers with strong subject expertise and relevant experience
