Job Description:
Azure Cloud Engineer | 3 Month Contract | Fully remote | OutsideIR35
Re-architect an Azure environment into a secure, production-grade, enterprise-ready platform.
Core Responsibilities:
*Redesign Azure architecture for scale, reliability, and security.
*Implement HA, failover, DR, and BCP.
*Harden security: Key Vault, Managed Identities, RBAC, Private Endpoints, NSGs, WAF, DDoS.
*Set up audit logging, monitoring, alerting, and incident response (Azure Monitor, App Insights, Log Analytics).
*Produce architecture docs + operational runbooks.
*Refactor/extend IaC (Terraform).
*Ensure reproducible environments and automated deployments across dev ? staging ? prod.
Required Experience
*5+ years cloud engineering, incl. 2+ years at enterprise scale.
*Proven track record taking MVP ? production.
*Strong Azure expertise (App Services, AKS, Functions, API Management, Azure SQL).
*Strong Terraform + automation (Python/Bash/PowerShell).
*Experience with enterprise security, SLAs, SOC2/ISO27001 expectations.
*Experience supporting enterprise customer technical/security reviews.
*B2B SaaS scaling experience.
Success Criteria
*Documented production-grade Azure architecture.
*99.9% uptime readiness.
*Full monitoring + alerting.
*Automated CI/CD.
*Enterprise-audit-ready security posture.
*Fully reproducible IaC.
