Workshop Operative
Location: Harlow
Salary: £28,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
Contract: Permanent, Full-time
An established global manufacturer within the medical devices sector is seeking a Workshop Operative to join its manufacturing and assembly team on a permanent basis. This is a hands-on role within a clean, well-organised production environment, offering full training and long-term stability.
The Role:*Assembly of precision-machined components using CAD drawings
*Inspection of finished products to ensure quality standards are met
*Picking, packing and preparing products for dispatch (some manual handling involved)
*Occasional loading and unloading of deliveries (forklift use - training available if required)
*Use of hand tools as part of the assembly process
*Adhering to health, safety and quality procedures at all times
The Ideal Candidate:*Semi-skilled, practical individual with experience in a workshop, manufacturing or assembly environment
*Confident reading basic drawings and working accurately with hand tools
*Reliable, detail-focused and able to work as part of a small team
*Willing to learn — full on-site training provided
