About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and hands-on HGV Supervisor (On the Tools) to join our team in Biggleswade. This is a working supervisory role, ideal for a time-served HGV Technician or Level 3 qualified professional who is ready to take the next step in their career while remaining actively involved in workshop operations.
Key Responsibilities*Supervise and support a team of HGV Technicians on a day-to-day basis
*Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs to DVSA standards
*Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to high-quality standards
*Assist with job allocation, workshop planning, and workflow management
*Support training and development of junior technicians
*Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
*Maintain accurate job records and documentation
Requirements*Time served HGV Technician or Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
*Proven experience working on HGVs in a workshop environment
*Previous supervisory or team-leading experience desirable
*Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
*Excellent communication and organisational skills
*Full UK driving licence (HGV licence advantageous)
