Mobile HGV TechnicianLocation: Bedford and Surrounding Areas
Salary: £50,000 per annum + Company Van & Fuel Card
Hours: Straight Day Shift + Overtime & Callouts Available
About the RoleWe are currently seeking an experienced Mobile HGV Technician to cover Bedford and surrounding areas. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled technician looking for a stable day shift role with excellent earning potential through plentiful overtime and callouts.
You will be responsible for carrying out maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a range of HGVs at customer sites and roadside locations, ensuring vehicles are safe, compliant, and back on the road as quickly as possible.
Key Responsibilities*Carry out routine maintenance, servicing, and inspections on HGVs
*Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
*Perform roadside breakdown assistance and emergency repairs
*Complete all relevant paperwork accurately and efficiently
*Ensure all work is carried out in line with DVSA standards
*Provide excellent customer service at all times
*Participate in callout rota (additional pay provided)
Requirements*Proven experience as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic
*Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
*Full UK Driving Licence (HGV licence desirable but not essential)
*Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
*Ability to work independently in a mobile role
*Good communication and customer service skills
