Response and Installation Officers
*Pay Rate: £15.43 PAYE
*Location: Manchester City Council
*Job Type: Temporary (3 - 4 months)
*Shifts: Nights (6 shifts on, 4 shifts off)
Manchester City Council are looking for three Response and Installation Officers to join their Community Alarm team on a temporary basis. This role is crucial in assisting customers during emergencies, such as falls, and involves some administrative duties. The position requires flexibility to work a mix of shifts, including nights.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Respond to activation alerts triggered by customer’s equipment within agreed service guidelines and targets.
*Communicate efficiently and courteously with customers to assess their needs and respond appropriately to various situations using initiative and creative problem-solving skills.
*Install, maintain, and collect approved equipment within customers’ homes, ensuring high standards are met.
*Work collaboratively with customers, their families or nominated contacts, colleagues, stakeholders, health, and emergency services staff to enhance safety and service delivery.
*Maintain efficient monitoring and administration of computer systems, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and confidentiality of data.
*Facilitate customer feedback and assist in resolving issues to improve service delivery, reporting any service or safety compromises to a line manager.
*Actively promote the service through attendance and contributions to meetings, forums, and promotional events.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Enhanced DBS check.
*Valid Full UK Driving Licence.
*Previous social care experience is desirable but not essential.
*Ability to work various shifts including nights and weekends.
*Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
*Proficiency in managing data and operating computer systems.
